Whitten Architects designs thoughtfully considered homes across New England, from camps and cottages to new homes and historic renovations, out of Portland's Old Port.
Our Vernacular team built an image-forward website that puts the firm's portfolio first and tells the story behind it: site-specific design, an exclusive focus on residential work and a hand-drawing process. Projects are organized by region, site type, house style and project type, and the site serves high-resolution photography without slowing down.
Search was built in from the start. The site ranks #1 on Google for more than 25 targeted keywords, including "best architect in Maine," "Maine architect" and "Portland Maine architect." Ongoing project narratives, blog posts, newsletters and social media content keep it current, and we later helped modernize the firm's brand with a nature-inspired identity drawn from its own site sketches.
We've had the pleasure of working with Helm for the last several years. With the initial redesign of our website they met our goal of creating an immersive experience for prospective clients that features our design work in the best possible way. The website has since garnered numerous kudos from both clients and colleagues in our local community.
