Overview

Little is a children's clothing and toy boutique on Exchange Street in Portland, built on the idea that childhood should feel a bit magical. Our First Pier team worked with the shop on several projects, and two of them show how brand and retention work together.

The first began with a brand refresh: a cleaner version of the cloud logo, a wider palette of blues and purples, and a pattern made from construction-paper cutout shapes. We carried it into everything a customer touches, including tissue paper, shipping stickers, die-cut cloud business cards and hang tags, gift cards and cloud-shaped storefront signage.

The second solved a pricing problem. Many of Little's brands set minimum advertised prices, so discounts were off the table. Instead, we launched a points-based loyalty program and later extended it to in-store purchases.

Loyalty membership nearly quadrupled in its first three years, with an average redemption rate of 31%, and in-store rewards became the third most popular way to redeem.
